Mexican editor based in New York City. Co-founded Sismica Studio a post house in Mexico City in 2010, and spent most of my career there as creative director and editor — building work for streaming platforms, agencies, and music labels.
Editing has always been the part I never wanted to delegate. After years leading teams, I'm focused on cutting — commercials, branded films, and narrative work. Working between English and Spanish, across the US, Mexico, and Spain.
Experience
Over the past fifteen years I've directed and edited work across film, advertising, and music — for Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney, Sony Music, Warner Music and United Nations. I've collaborated with filmmakers like Guillermo Arriaga — Oscar-nominated screenwriter behind Amores Perros, 21 Grams, and Babel — and edited projects selected at the Cannes Film Festival. I'm currently executive producer across several film projects, including work selected at Annecy.
My work has been recognized by some of the most respected institutions and festivals in Latin America and Europe, including IMCINE, Pride of Mexico Award, FICG, FICM and La Biennale di Venezia.
In music, I've edited more than fifteen music videos for some of Latin America's most prominent artists — including Cristian Castro, Pepe Aguilar, Ángela Aguilar,Manuel Medrano , Río Roma, and Yahir — work that has accumulated over 1.5 billion views combined.
